For this episode we chat with Arshin Adib-Moghaddam, who is a writer and Reader in Comparative Politics and International Relations, as well as Chair of the Centre for Iranian Studies at SOAS (the School of Oriental and African Studies) at the University of London. Dr. Adib-Moghaddam, a comparatively young and accessible academic, has published three books on Islam, Iran and world politics and numerous articles and opinion pieces in national and international papers and media platforms. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the University of Cambridge’s European Trust Society and was the first Jarvis Doctoral Fellow at St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford. With all this learning behind him, how does Dr. Adib-Moghaddam speak to the lay person about such involved subjects, and why is this an important aspect of his role as an academic today who monitors the Middle East?
