Six Pillars will broadcast twice at the Deutsche-Bank Kunsthalle in Berlin during their Villla Romana – Süden (South) exhibition, August 27–Sept 8, 2013. The exhibition spans art, film, music & performance and includes an online station run by Radio Papesse, Italy. We chose to broadcast our episode POSTCARDS FROM IRAN co-produced by Moslem Rasouli from Iran, plus THE FIRST BROADCAST of this academic year on our host station Resonance104.4FM after a break in summer. This inaugural Six Pillars to Persia episode features a new monthly slot called I Ran Into Iran by artist Katayoun Vaziri and producer Brian Zegeer.
SüdenRadio broadcasts daily from Villa Romana from 12.30 radiopapesse.org/sudenradio with one hour of live programming on Sundays, 1 – 8. Sept, 20.00–21.00 on reboot.fm. Tune in across Berlin on UKW 88,4 MHz; or in Potsdam on UKW 90,7 MHz Radio Papesse is an Italian station curating sounds online for the exhibition in Berlin.

The artistic debate around this theme is highly fragmented but Süden takes the discourse further by widening it up to a differ layer: the sonic dimension of South. Is there a southern sonic cliché?
Süden art exhibition is curated by Angelika Stepken, director of Villa Romana, and will be held at the Deutsche Bank KunstHalle in Berlin from August 26th to September 8th 2013
