This week we speak with artist/curator Haajra Haider Karrar and artist Fazal Rizvi about their part in The Tentative Collective, founded by Yaminay Chaudhri. The group of artists and curators engage with their home town of Karachi, Pakistan via the means of public performance, open air screenings and city tours amongst others. Fazal Rizvi and other Tentative Collective members are also part of a current show at the VM Art Gallery, Rangoonwalla Centre, Karachi: Exhausted Geographies.

Recorded as part of an arts residency hosted by Lahore Biennial Foundation at Karachi’s Habib University, a new and liberal facility focussing on skills for the future of Pakistan. Supported by British Council, Pakistan Chris Weaver and Fari Bradley gave guest lectures at the Karachi University, Asia’s largest university in terms of physical size, and the stunning Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture.
