Hong Kong Mixtape is a new, open call project in Hong Kong for field recordings and compositions put out by CMHK (Contemporary Musiking Hong Kong) as part of their Sonic Transmission Exchange programme.
Curated by the CMHK team, the final selections make it to the Hong Kong Mixtape , which involves local composers’ and sound artists’ work dealing with Hong Kong’s unique history, culture and landmarks. Bells, chanting, electronic and acoustic piano compositions, street sounds, piano playing… there is no better insight into Hong Kong than eavesdropping via the work of these creative recordists below:
