As part of the Mayfair Art Weekend (28 June – 30 June 2019) artist Shubha Taparia presents a collection of photographs Spirit in the Inanimate looking at ephemerality.
The series explores new details and elements from Taparia’s new large-scale installation made with construction materials Silhouette of an Unknown Landscape in her London studio. At Prahlad Bubbar Gallery from Friday 28th June.
Taparia says of the works “The magic of an ephemeral encounter […]. Here the solid structures mad of construction materials take the form of light and shadows. The weightlessness and the quiet subvert our perceptions of a building site, thus continuing my theme of exploring the everyday.”
