Falgoosh / Eavesdropper Radio

Six Pillars will be at Art Dubai 2013, broadcasting from an open booth within the fair,  19th-24th March. You will be able to listen to the audio here or on the Art Dubai Radio page; reports and talks from the fair during the day, and sound art and experimental music overnight. The aim is to galvanise some of the amazing talent and arts and music knowledge out there, bringing new sounds to the Middle East and sending local information via audio back out via a radio stream.

Radio

The name Eavesdropper/Falgoosh is based on the concept of an age-old ritual: divination by ear, practised during Persian New Year (Nowrooz, at the start of Spring, around March 21st).
We invite you to eavesdrop our webstream, and so to create by the action of listening, a third entity outside of the meanings of words said at the fair and the curation of the radio station as a whole. Hence the act of falgoosh suggests new meanings and active listening becomes a composition in itself.
